Pastor
Juan McFarland of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery had
told his members that he had AIDS,This was the the FIRST BLOW.
The pastor also confessed to have stolen money from the church to buy illegal drugs.
According to All Christian News, it was then decided 80 – 1 that the pastor would be removed as the head of the church.
“He
fraudulently concealed from the congregation . . . that he had
knowingly engaged in adultery in the church building with female members
of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church while knowingly having AIDS,” a
resolution written by the congregation read. “[He also] fraudulently
withheld information that he had been engaging in the use of illegal
drugs while preaching and performing pastoral duties . . . [and]
withheld information from church membership that he had misused church
funds.”
But shockingly the Pastor refused to step down owning to the fact that he had led the church for 21 year, and was ready to fight to finish,he even changed the locks of the church to keep the deacons and church leader away.
A senior member of the church said “We are
worried if we show up to church, we
could get shot,” he said.
“Unless the pastor steps down voluntarily, this may very well end up in
court.”
The pastor isn’t yet facing criminal
charges, but if it turns out that some of his church members were
infected by his actions, he could end up facing jail time.
